My Story
One day while at work, a co-worker took a Scentsy Bar out of her purse and laid it on the counter. I asked what it was and I was surprised that I had never heard of it before. I was impressed by the simplicity and concept of a wickless candle along with the long lasting fragrance. I hadn't used a candle for three years since 5 Year old my son had started walking and I was fearful of the dangers that come along with burning candles. For only $99 I could start a business where someone else designs, manufactures and ships these products for me. And all I had to do was share it with others. With this business opportunity seeming like a no brainer, I jumped in with both feet. I signed up without owning one single Scentsy product and I've never looked back!!
My journey with the Scentsy Family started on March 5th 2011. In just 7 months I became a Director, and within 18 months became a Star Director. How did this happen so fast? Well what started out as a fun part-time thing to do, quickly became my way to survive when my husband at the time and father of my now 12 year old son decided he didn't want us to be a family any longer. Within a few months after the separation I lost my home and my Full-time job. I was scared and wasn't sure how I was going to make ends meet as a single parent. Fortunately Scentsy provided the income that I needed to take care of myself and my son during such a difficult and stressful time.
Being with Scentsy has also allowed me to travel to places I've never dreamed of going to. Our Leadership Retreat has been in Cancun Mexico three times and I've earned Free Trips to Punta Cana, Whistler British Columbia, Atlantis Bahamas, Las Vegas, Disney World and a Mediterranean Cruise all expense paid trip for two. I've seen amazing performances at our Scentsy Family Reunions from Artists like Colbie Caillet, Kelly Clarkson, Sara Bareilles and Train! The recognition and awards are amazing too!
So here I am 7 years later and life couldn't be better! I promoted to SuperStar Director, the highest level in Scentsy, in November 2016 and my amazing Team is growing each and every day! On a personal note, my son Hunter is happy and healthy and I also have a beautiful Step-daughter Kaitlyn who is a Scentsy fan herself! My AMAZING and supportive husband Jerry as joined in my Scentsy business and is there for anything at all when I need a helping hand.
Is the extra income great? Sure! But what's most rewarding for me is being able to share this amazing opportunity with others. I enjoy seeing how it builds their confidence and self esteem with owning their own business. You just can't put a price tag on that! This company is so much more than wax and warmers for me. This is about being able to take my son to school, setting my own work hours, providing extra income for our family and changing the lives of others. I can't imagine what our life would be like now had I not been introduced to Scentsy. It's just been one blessing after another and I'm looking forward to this ongoing journey.
